RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS – CORNWALL SERVICES RE-OPENS ON 1ST JUNE

Cornwall Services re-opens to the public on 1st June and will include strict safety measures to ensure a safe environment for customers. Opening hours will be 8am to 8pm each day in the main building.

The main services building will open to the public in phases beginning on 1st June with Subway and WC Rowe. Open Oven Pizza will open on 3rd June and Saltrock, Mango Surf and McDonald’s are planning to open in mid-June. Costa and WH Smith do not have confirmed dates for reopening as yet.

Indoor Active and Teddy Freddy’s will re-open upon government instruction and when they can ensure the safety of their customers and employees.

The petrol station has been open throughout the lockdown period and will continue to do so under its own opening arrangements. Lorry drivers can continue to use the lorry park toilet block, which has also remained open during the lockdown period.

To ensure maximum safety for our customers, all food outlets will be providing a takeaway service only. Customers will be asked to take their food and drink out of the main building to consume and it will not be possible to use the central seating area or tables outside.

In order to manage the volume of customers using the services at any one time, there will be a team of staff on hand to help and direct people to the correct queuing system as part of limiting movement between shops and food outlets. We will also be directing customers to the lorry park toilet block for those that only want to use the toilet facilities.

For customers safety, sanitation gel will be available on entering the main building and floor areas will be marked up, indicating 2-metre distancing positions in the queues to be observed at all times.
